In both thematic areas, we pay particular attention to strategic communication. Flora Fund focuses its investments on proven and readily available solutions, aiming to scale their impact. We support both bottom-up initiatives and top-down interventions that can drive.
We adopt a grantmaking model that offers organizations the freedom to allocate resources where and when they are most needed. We favor a lightweight monitoring approach, with periodic narrative and numerical updates and more detailed reports only for larger projects.
We see ourselves as partners, not mere funders. We cultivate relationships based on ongoing dialogue, offering not only financial support but also non-financial resources such as mentorship, expert advice and the exchange of best practices.
Flora Fund concentrates its efforts on a few key sectors. We aim to select initiatives that can generate tangible social impact and strengthen the internal leadership of organizations to ensure long-term sustainability.
We provide both project-specific grants and unrestricted funding that can be used to cover operational costs, invest in infrastructure, experiment new ideas or respond to emerging needs. It is an act of trust: we believe those on the ground know best where resources should go.
Many public and philanthropic funding calls require co-financing. If your project aligns with our mission and demonstrates merit, we can step in through a matching fund to partially cover the required contribution, boosting your initiative’s potential.
In addition to financial support, we offer mentorship, tailored consultancy, and networking opportunities. Through open and ongoing dialogue, we aim to strengthen governance, leadership and communication capacity.
